• "Look, Your Honour, no hands!" A recent article on Voice Writing.
• Mr Michael Zajdel, a currently serving official court reporter for St. Louis City Courts - with 22 years experience -has here outlined some thoughts (in answer to a potential student) on the necessary attributes and learnings required to succeed in the court reporter voice writing profession. Mr Zajdel has been reporting using speech recognition since 1999/2000, and has not typed a job since he began using speech!  He is one of the first (if not the first) voice writers to use speech recognition.  He was responsible for the State Justice Institute Resources Guide "Voice Recognition & Real-Time Technologies" that basically opened the doors for speech recognition and realtime in US courts.

NATIONAL YOUTH COMMISSION INTO Y0UTH HOMELESSNESS

Transcripts Plus recently travelled to every State of Australia reporting, in realtime, using voice writing technology, the hearings of the National Youth Commission into Youth Homelessness. 

The official Report was launched in Sydney on 8th April 2008.  In front of a crowd that included dignitaries from all over Australia and the Australian press, the Chairman of the Commission, Major David Eldridge, publicly thanked Transcripts Plus for its work in his address.  He later commented, "Your work was just fantastic.  We will definitely be using you again."

Transcripts Plus has produced a Client Media DVD of the event (video, digital recording, transcript.)  If you would like a copy, please contact us.
